Garrison Multimedia is named after William Lloyd Garrison, the American abolitionist and political activist. He worked to fight slavery in the United States, published a newspaper called The Liberator, and showed that white people weren't all silent or complacent about the sick systems of oppression that benefitted them.
Garrison's example tells us a great deal about our own time, when so many privileged individuals face urgent questions about suffering, oppression, and the future of humanity. My creative efforts are always carried out with the hope that they may similarly inspire others to fight against violence and injustice.
